30 days clean

Hi guys. Well its 30 days now. I have to say I cannot believe it. I have had some problems to be honest but Its still ok. Have visited a bar a few times to socialise and despite my mind saying beer i have just ordered big bottles of water and its been ok. 1 day at a time. My mind is clear, my blood pressure is correct without tablets. instead of 160/95 its 118/82. I have more interest in life and have lost no days to hangover or paranoia. And I have had no problem with friends etc interacting in fact it was more fun. My long suffering non drinking partner says I am less moody and nicer to be around. I never realised the effects alcohol had on me. As a hard drinker I could not have imagined not drinking for 30 days in a million years but here I am. So i just thought i would post this update as its incredible the difference. if you are wondering what 30 days is like its 100% different from day 1 which was hell and so worth it. Keep strong

Isn't it amazing how quickly your life turns around once alcohol is removed from the equation?

Congrats!

I live in Cyprus and the main problem here is that that's what everyone does. Go drinking. if you want any kind of social scene that's were you go. BBQ's at home =drinking etc. There is always a pool party but again drinking. Its cheap here to as a pint is only €2 and a litre of wine €2.15 so again money really doesn't come into it. I walk and work and enjoy the beautiful island trust me. There are no School nights here really in the part i live. its kind of retirement paradise here. so people get bored and then **** it up on a daily basis. I go to Cricket on Sunday too which I enjoy. That's why I am so pleased to have only water when I go out which these days isn't often.
