Well, why not give it a go? What have you got to lose?

It has made a massive difference to my recovery, and many, many others.

Nothing to lose by dropping by at an AA meeting to see if it's for you. Just might be the support you need. John

There are other recovery choices, but AA is a great place to start, and maybe end up as well.

Just keep up whatever you're doing and stay sober!

Don't think, do it. It will likely be the best decision you've ever made!

Go for it, you have nothing to lose except an hour and a couple of bucks and it might really help you a lot.
I know that going to AA and working the steps really helped me in the beginning.

Caralara, I'm right there with you (99 days, who's counting? haha). Contemplating AA even though I haven't liked it in the past, because I feel like I may be ready for some recovery connections IRL. If you try it, please let us know how it goes!

90 days sober is quite an achievement. Doing it without a recovery group is even more so.

Make it easier on yourself and let others help you!

I find AA very helpful and am glad I go. I always get something out of it. I hope you try it.

Caralara,
the stepwork was exactly what i needed quite a while after i quit.
and yes, if you mostly want fellowship, there's lots there of that, too.

WAY TO GO on 90 days!

I railed against AA for years- then it ended up being my only option as private rehab was just not going to happen.

Finally going and truly committing to the program was the single best decision I have ever made. It saved my life.

I hope you give it a real try- perhaps commit to the 90 mtgs in 90 days that is so often recommended- or at least 30/30- to really get to start understanding what the program is about and give it a shot.

I hear so many people say, in reflection, "I wish I'd tried it sooner- my recovery would have been easier with the help!" - maybe that's just what will happen to you, and that 90 day accomplishment will keep building into a great life.

Take care and keep going, whatever plan you decide.

Absolutely give it a shot. I make 2 meetings a week and that's enough for me. I built my sobriety on my Christianity and Jesus is my Sponsor and that works beautifully for me. Find what works for you. God bless!

For me, the best part of AA was discovering the fellowship of other alcoholics.

After trying to get sober by myself for many years, talking with other people was profound. I didn't expect that.
