I am three years sober and attend a MA meeting once a week. They do not have any female sponcers and I am looking to go through step work so I can remain inspired to stay clean and further sponcer others.

I have been going to AA for well over a year and cannot get a female sponsor.
I think it’s because the others there don’t think I have a bad problem. I was never a daily drinker. Max was 1 time a week but normally twice a month.
The people who get sponsors are daily drinkers.

I hope you’re able to find someone, you are very committed.

I sometimes sponsor women in AA for the same reason. There must be other women in your group in the same position. One suggestion is for two of you to get together and co-sponsor each other with the help of one of the recovered men. i.e Jan and Jane sponsor each other, together calling on John for guidance with the program. Keeps it safe.
