14 long days

Today is the 2 week mark of my sobriety. It's been a rough but rewarding road so far. To be honest, the past couple of days has been harder for me than anything so far. I reconnected with an old friend. To save telling a long story, me and this friend have a long history, and at times it got very complicated. To talk to them again brought up some mixed emotions. Some great, some not so great. I've found myself craving that bottle remembering. This person had nothing to do with my drinking problem, and I feel they can be a positive light in my life now after 5 years of silence. It's just the emotions I have suppressed while I was drinking bubbling up to the surface. Still have rejected my old ways through the chaos in my brain the past few days so I'm proud of that. Just gotta keep going...

‘THANKYOU’ said your body and brain in unison.

Cracking stuff, prizefighter ( you’ve been on the ropes but not knocked out)

I sense a lot more fight in you.
