Honesty - fell off the sober train...

I am starting again.... last week had a drink (2 actually) with a co worker after crazy stress filled day. Then no drinks until last night where I went out with co workers and we all had 3. Big glasses of wine. Felt like crap. Horrible reflux. Threw up. Starting today (again) on sober train. After that first drink last week I never stopped thinking about the next. What stinks is that my cravings had really gone away.... until I pulled the cork out of that bottle! Dang....

At least you made it back. We never know if we have another recovery in us.

Important to remember, though, that a few drinks doesn't automatically invalidate the sober time that you did have.

What's your plan to make this your last start, and make sobriety permanent?

Perhaps avoid going out with co workers as that seems to place you in an environment/mindset for drinking. You're bound to have stressful days - it is finding another strategy to deal with that. Maybe go and see a movie which will take your mind off things, join a gym, go for a walk, etc?

All the best

I’m right with ya. Trying to have a successful day one.
Why is it that one drink doesn’t stop... especially for me, it gets bad... so bad.

Let’s just say I am happy is garbage day so I don’t have the constant reminder of empties

And I'm right with you both, Bumblebee and Shebeens. Day 1.
