Sorry about your rough day. I'm at 20 days today, and am having a rough one myself. Let's be gentle, kind and patient with ourselves, eh? It will get better.
30something day here. I'm in the same boat. No pink cloud. No nothing but a dull desire to grab a cheap bottle of vodka.
Sober will win out, but just feeling blah and can't stop thinking about drinking.
Onward.

Congratulations on 30 days spinachqueen
Early recovery is an up and down thing with moods and emotions - but it gets better!
Support really helps too, and you'll find that here in abundance
Have you been depressed before or is this a new thing?

Hi Spinachqueen. 31 days is a significant milestone. YAY! I have down days too where I lack motivation - in other words a blah day. Other days I'm more hopeful and productive. We just have to ride it out until the good days come back, which they will. Hang in there.
Hi there
Congrats on 30 days to both 30 dayers!
My personal experience first 7 getting the crap out of body and breaking the repetative cycle.
By 30 days still crappy lacking energy motivation and mindset.
By 60 days the body showing me.its greatful skin improvements weight loss occuring energy levels lifting slightly mood lifting all things lifting slightly but nothing amazing.
I experience what I call windows and walls windows when things are slightly better and walls where you are firmly reminded that you are not out of the woods. The silver lining is I find after a wall the other side is slightly better than it was before the wall like moving slowly up a staircase.
80 to 90 days things should lift off a bit more hopefullyaking you feel more normal.
Everyone is different so this could be all quite different for you.
That is not the end of the road by a long shot.
Please remember one thing from my personal experience. Something I deeply regret!
If you decide to drink after this milestone when you are feeling much improved you will find yourself back at the start again with all of the shxxx to go through to get back to feeling ok and that is a fact! I was told but thought it was just scaremongering how wrong I was!
I have given in and accept.that I must not drink and the funny thing is life starts to fall back into place without alcohol as a pastime. After all there is much more to life than what is in a bottle or can!
I wish you all best of luck and hope that this post is of use to you and anyone else that reads it.
Dusty.

Loved your post Dusti. I especially liked this part:
