First sober camping trip
I’ll bet I haven’t sat in front of a campfire without a beer since I was 15. It’s hard. It was everything I could do not to snap at the kids on the way down here. This is what we do as a family for recreation. This is another hump to get over. I’ve got a cup of kava tea and a few favorite songs to listen to.
I’ll get through it with strength. I love being out in the woods. Thanks for letting me vent.

I’ve been camping before sober and it’s great! No having to stumble out of the tent 2-3 times in the middle of the night to pee. There were idle times when it seemed “boring” but you have just have to fill your time with other stuff

I'm in New Orleans this weekend sober, enjoying the city in usually to drunk to even remember.
Here's to growing up and being strong.
Take care and enjoy.
No one is coming to save us.
