101 days Sober
It's funny how I began sobriety counting days..everyday...today I had to look back at my birthday...80 days to realize today is 101 days sober! I'm so grateful for this time I've had...starting to get life back on track. Thinking about the future for once! It's a nice feeling! I can't say I feel overly joyous or wonderful..i wish I did..but I feel clear headed for the first time in many years. Some nights are rough with the sleeping battle. However other nights are great! I'm learning to take the good with the bad...and that's all I can do.

I remember when it was a great goal to get 90 days. The old saying was "90 meetings in 90 days". Thanks to your post I calculated how many sober days I have in a row. 10,007 consecutive sober days! (27 years +) Unbelievable! But I do remember what they told me when I asked how they could possibly get 10 years of sobriety when I had less than one year. They said, "don't drink and don't die!" Guess what , it works! Ha Ha, Congratulations seriously on another day that adds up to 101 days, that is great! You are a miracle!

Plus, when you say taking the good with the bad, you know, non-alcoholics have to do that too, so we are just learning how to do that in a healthy manner. Think sober = healthy! Abstinence means not drinking! And believe it or not we all are still learning, regardless of how many years, decades we may have. Keep up the good work, and it does take work. Nothing happens by osmosis! Again, congrats!
