13 days sober

I am 13 days sober after almost 30 years of drinking...apart from when I was pregnant. I would drink if I was happy, sad, low, high,. Any excuse for a drink.. I am very tired and seem to be fighting the urge early evening.....good thing..weight loss. Any body else experiencing the same as me

You're doing great Hammy. Tiredness is expected. Our bodies need time to heal. Look after yourself

well done on your 13 days

and yes I am on day 7 and feel tired a lot but I push myself to get out and walk the dog if only for 10m, It helps a bit but I still suffer tiredness all day, but I know it will get better as it did when I had 18 months sober.

13 days is awesome!!

Do you have a plan? Using any type of recovery program (AA or Smart)?

You're doing great the first 13 days are the toughest.

I have no plan..just taking one day at a time....I am so ashamed of myself, for being an alcoholic. It's not just the drinking its everything else you lose on the way. The money I have wasted, the years that I cannot remember, the rollercoaster life...I hate it and most of all I hate myself for doing it to me and my family.
