prayer to you higher power

Hi all
I am not a religious nut, but I prayed in church and light a candle, that I may get the strength to quit alcohol and believe it or not the thought of drinking alcohol has not entered my head in the last week since. It assures me that asking your higher power for help does work, but I know I must also incorporate a plan to stay clean.

Love it.

Prayer works. May as well start using what works, eh?

Yea, I've definitely been re-acquainted of late on the power of prayer.

This time around I'm not going to think too deeply into it. I'm just gonna keep doing it. If it isn't broke don't fix it or something like that.

Surrender is the hardest, yet most powerful thing to sobriety.

One night, a chap I had the privilege of sponsoring, collapsed in the gutter outside a church. He prayed for help. The next night he came to AA and began his journey to recovery through the steps. Seven years sober now.

Yes jhonnyspa prayer works. I start my new acquired sober day with it (day 4) and I thank my God at night.
