Thanks to all the people who tried to help me, found myself in shop 10 minutes before closing, coat over night clothes no pride left, I wish you all the best, last post. I'm done. please anyone who might read this stop drinking because you will get to this stage, I never thought it would happen to me. save yourselves. best wishes, xx
Most of us have been exactly where you are right now Ms Lamp. And we know it seems hopeless, but it's not. Pour out what you have and get some water. Stick around here tonight or maybe try to go to a meeting? Extraordinary problems require extraordinary measures. But you can take the first step now - dump out the booze.
MrsLamp - I was there once. Lived for my next drink & couldn't imagine life without it. Now I'm 10 yrs. sober. I kept posting & reading here - even though I wasn't quite ready to quit when I joined. I finally found the courage to save myself. You are never alone - and you can still do this.
Thank you Scott and Sober Leigh I looked up local meeting earlier on and could have went to one at 8pm stupidly decided I was too tired and went to bed. Thank you so much for replies there is one tomorrow night that I have attended before, I want so much to go back, I really need friends, I am so isolated. xx

We care so much.
Getting sober and staying that way is not easy Mrslamp.
You're fighting against something you've done for a long time. Many of us faltered a time or two, including me.
Maybe you need a little more in your recovery plan?
Like posting here before you drink? and maybe considering some real world help - counselling, seeing your Dr, AA or some other meeting based group, Rational Recovery, or some form of rehab inpatient or outpatient?
I wouldn't give up until I'd at least tried all of those

Don't give up Mrs. Lamp. Stay close to SR. During my first days I was on here most of the day. It helps. Post as often as you need or want to. Someone is here 24/7. Everyone here has been where you are. We understand.
Please stick around and don't give up on yourself. Many of us have been where you are at right now and have managed to achieve long term, contented recovery.
I might not have been physically dependent but mentally, I was a wreck stuck in a dark pit of depression.
If we could quit and stay quit, so can you.
Like other have suggested, maybe you should try a medically supervised detox especially if you are seeing scary things.
Hang in there, you can do it and we've got your back

Don’t give up, MrsLamp, so many of us have been where you are right now and we understand. It seems so daunting right now, but in a very short time things will feel a little better and the hopelessness will really go away, when you put down the drink. I hope you go to your meeting.

Please don't give up, get to a hospital asafp. I've been there, didn't shower or put on street clothes ect. You need medical help fear of the kick will keep you in living hell. There is a country song and a line from it is get through hell before the devil knows your dead. Seek help NOW. Do your kick and end this garbage. I don't know you but I wish I could drive you to hospital, your worth saving. I'm a blue collar, knuckle dragging man but I know the value of a life. You have value, your worth it please go get professional help and work for you are worth it.
