Thanks for messsges wishing me well.
I didnt go to aa meeting, although didn’t drink last night or this morning which was tough.
Work has been really good last two days and earnt enough to pay of drug bill so that’s cleared.
Only had bottle of wine tonight which is low for 1 night and keeping me mind busy by cooking a nice meal.
Head is def clearer and providing I keep it tame every night I’ll be ok.
Quite a big step not drinking the minute I wake up up or go sleep so happy with that

Do you have a plan to stop completely? Moderation never works for us alcoholics. Been there, done that ... so many times.

Hi Jimmy - not sure if you're trying to taper or moderate or both?

I tried everything I could to keep alcohol in my life

cutting back
drinking water between glasses
not starting til evening
not starting til lunch
not starting til I'd done my chores
switching to an alcohol I didn't like

None of them worked for any real amount of time.

I'm glad you've had some alcohol free days - but the tendency for drinkers like us is to stop there - 'thats an improvement' -

don't do that - I'm sorry, but it won't be an 'improvement' for long.
