Was told no contact was the way to go
Better for me in the long run
He got himself clean and contacted me and I was able to have my friend back for a bit
Got really ugly again and he ended up in rehab
Came out relapsed multiple times but he had learned not to mistreat me during these episodes
I thought some progress
Here I am again now written off because I told him how he had made me feel the last time he slipped
It’s like he can’t handle the truth of his behaviour and be called out on it
Immature and manipulative
I really thought I had my friend back
Just posting to get it out
Feel stupid for missing someone so much who can wrote me out of
Their life so easy but chases after people who can give a rats ass about his welfare.

So sorry you are suffering over someone who isn't ready to own the pain they have caused others.

If he is not doing anything to keep you in his life then why are you fighting so hard to stay? What have you done for your own recovery (codependency) these last few months?

You will heal, but if you continue on with him, you will do this over and over.
