Sugar, going to sleep early, avoiding drinking
This is the time of day when I consider drinking. Actually, truth be told, I thought about it earlier. So, this is the time of day when the anxiety really kicks up for me.
I was thinking about having "just one" (which means just one bottle if I am truthful). Then a friend called me and we got to talking and he sounded good. I asked what was going on to make him sound so good. He said he quit drinking. He feels better, sleeps better, and even is thinking about exercising. I know this seems silly but I felt like it was a message to me to once again NOT drink today and have faith that the cravings and the anxiety and the insane voice in my head will eventually go away. If I did drink today I'd be right back to square one and feel psychologically and physically miserable tomorrow.
I do, however, find myself eating a lot of sweets and going to bed early. I hope this passes too!
Thanks for reading.

I try to get fruits and green veggies everyday. Apart from that, I don’t worry about it. I tried dieting and cutting out sugar when I was 2 months sober the last try. I ended up relapsing. Not that the diet was necessarily the cause, but when I quit this time my NUMBER ONE goal and rule every day was to not drink. And if I craved a cheeseburger I ate a damn cheeseburger.

Chow,
I am also eating healthy these days. Egg beaters, oatmeal, spinach, chicken...chocolate cake, ice cream.
The last two are not good for my body, but...they were so delicious.
That was my diet yesterday.
I had some fruit and a protein bar in the middle.
When the booze was eliminated, the dining has become very enjoyable.
I also more enjoy my family, coworkers, working out, sleeping, and life mx.
I enjoy life better.
Thank God.
