25 is half way to 50!

25 days in and just wanted to post a quick update.

The cravings are getting easier to manage. They're easier to brush off. I'm developing a new normal routine in the evenings. This is a massive positive!

Last time I gave quitting a good go I didn't have as much of a 'foggy' head. My husband commented on it last night. I can't seem to find words I want to use and I'm forgetful. Rather annoying but hopefully it won't be forever.

I feel like I'm becoming more patient with my kids and this is truly wonderful. While actively drinking I spent so much time planning and obsessing over my drinking...there just wasn't enough time left to be the best mum I can be. Of course there are tough moments, but the last week has been a lot more calm. I hope this gets even better with time.

It's still very much one day at a time for me right now, but the fact that I'm half way to 50 days sober is pretty exciting. A quarter of the way to 100!

Hope you're all well.

Great job, time2shineagain! I had brain fog the first month or so it did get better the longer I was sober.

Keep up the great work.

Yeah, I had that brain fog for a while, too. Started clearing up for me at about a week, and slowly got better.

Congrats on 25!
