It's 4 years and a day since I took my last drink. I'm grateful to you all here, to the mods and admins, and to so many people in the outside world -- including those now long disappeared or dead who went through this before -- for lending me strength and hope to stay sober when I had no idea what those words meant.
I went back to my very first posts from 2012. I want to specially thank the people who greeted me in those first very hard days. Many still come here now: awuh1, amy55, jeni26, doggonecarl, sugarbear, midnightblue, rainyengland, Hevyn, Dee, aussieblue, Anna, Delilah1, MIRecovery.... Thanks to the Class of December 2012
ReadyforAll, NapsteR1, badgerden, Gonzo4419, tamerua, AliceTW, and others. And to some from that era, now gone, but whom I hope to see again someday: KellyToronto, hollyanne, windancer, and mycoolfitz.
There've been so many more wonderful friends here since then, too many to name you all. Everyone I've met has helped me. You've shared your lessons -- good and bad -- shown patience when I'm feeling sorry for myself, and called me on mind games. Learning to give back will be the work of many years to come.
