4 years and counting...
I’ve been sober now for 4 years today and want to tell the newcomers don’t give up and to stay positive. Each day will bring new challenges- which I also encounter - but alcohol will always take a backseat for me.
I’ve found a bunch of new hobbies and new groups of sober friends that bring me happiness. I’ve also found that helping my friends and neighbors with home projects and repairs gives me satisfaction knowing that I’m helping people - I look at it as doing good for all the bad I’ve done. This helps me deal with my guilt of the past.
I hope all of you find the wonderful SOBER life which I’ve found and always remember to not give up!!

Omg, this is exactly what I needed to hear today! Congratulations on your four years. I'm so happy for you, and to glimpse this kind of future. THANK YOU for thinking about what a gift this message would be to newbies like myself. I'm so grateful, really you have no idea
