Slowly but surely

One day at a time staying sober and making sure you’re keeping in touch with your spiritual connection. Touching base with recovery on a daily basis and keeping moving forwards no matter how small the steps.

This is what I’ve been doing at the very least over the past 12 months after a very tough year.

You know what? It works. Feels good when you achieve accomplishments which 12 months ago seemed a million miles away.

Grateful to be sober, grateful to be an alcoholic.

What an awesome post, brighter! Really awesome!

Not many will say they are grateful to be an alcoholic but I am with you on this.

My sobriety has brought such incredible joy into my life and it could only have happened because I am an alcoholic.

That’s what is so fantastic about SR and the community here. It allows one the ability to touch base with recovery every day and remain grounded. SR has always been an integral part of my recovery ‘toolkit’ and I am truly grateful for its existence.
