Rockfish Log-Sober Day 11
Today has been fantastic. "A diamond day" as a friend says to me.
I have put in my bio I am a full time carer this is true as Mrs Rockfish bless her has MS. She needs much help but remains as independent as she can. A strong, brave lady with great will.
It has taken me years of struggle to come to terms with this 2 out of 3 partners leave an MS victim. I couldn't do this so I drank when and where I liked to "Numb the pain"still maintaining the minimum effort required to care.
Today sober I attended recovery group this morning then returned home, cooked, cleaned, washed etc with a spring in my step all the while sharing the day with Mrs R.
What a difference. Not doing the minimum and shooting off out to get slaughtered.
I know she is happier.
And this is how it will be.
That is a promise.
I don't want praise. I share this to highlight the difference of the mind set.
