This is a new feeling

I’m 9 days in and last night I hit a wall of sorts where I wasn’t sure what it was but all I wanted to do was listen to music and zone out working on an adult coloring book (someone had suggested that and it was amazing to have to keep busy but meditative). To me it was like a mental shift. I felt calm and reflective and a sense of depression but one that I like? Anyway not sure if anyone else can relate.

Finding yourself in sobriety is the the key IMO. Meditation, reading, coming to terms with myself is where the healing begins.

I can certainly relate - it's a great shift isn't it?

Hmmm. I totally relate to the crafting and zoning...that's pretty much me every night but right now its knitting. I don't describe it as depression...more as acceptance.

It was an interesting moment of realizing I’m working on getting okay and realizing something was wrong, but with the hope of acceptance of my problem that getting better is possible

Glad you have a feeling that you like .
Sometimes I get these hard to describe feeling of neither happy or sad but a certain stillness of just being there which feels quite nice .
