Hey everyone
Stewy84 here.
Not been a good 2017. Drank it away really. Want to get started again. It seems so much harder this time though. There are a few things going on. Anyone who knows me from last time will know the issues and unfortunately it’s very much the same stuff- lost my house, rubbish girlfriend etc
Just wanted to say hi again
Happy new year to everyone

WELCOME back! Keep on quitting! I been at it 4 years now. Alcohol went from Daily use to maybe one once a month or one wine twice a month for the last two years. Which is still too much for me. We can do this!
theres a whole lot of old threads of yours with a jillion suggestions of what you can do. id suggest starting there and seeing what a whole lot of people have already suggested.
as with before,we cant do the work for you.
guaranteed if YOU put in the footwork, you can stop drinking and your life willimprove.

Welcome back, Stewy!
My suggestion is for you to sit down and write a specific plan for how to get through each day sober. Come up with ideas that will work for you. And, then follow the plan without exception. You can do this! It's good to see you back.

I’ve got my plan scheduled for today all written out. In preparation I’ve registered for Kevin o hara’s Video series- not sure if anyone else has seen him but he seems to have some good insights into how to go about tackling quitting
I’m going to stay close on the forum. I have told my family about getting this out of my life and asked them to keep me accountable.
I’m going for it now, keeping focussed on the goal and not deferring from it
1.quit alcohol
2. Finish my CBT course
3. Sort my house out
4. Be better in my job
There’s loads but going to start there
