Sundays

Sundays for me the past 4 years have been the one night that hit me the hardest emotionally. I am feeling emotional after taking my daughter back to her mothers and I do have the temptation to drink but I've got a clear path of sobriety for the night. Just listening to some music right now and maybe ill get in a workout if things start to get to me too badly. I hope everyone is fairing well today , ill be around to chat and keep my mind busy if anybody needs a helping ear. Much love

I'd hit up the gym/workout anyways. head it off at the pass and it's good for you.

You should be truly proud of yourself Donnie as it is not an easy situation to be in. Coming here and reaching out and not drinking is commendable.

I too have to cope with what you have to cope with. Its like exchanging a child to each other and it is awful.

I hope you take lots of pictures of your daughter so you can look at them until her next visit.

I love taking pictures of my daughter sleeping, there is something truly special in those photos.

Its not the best situation in the world to be in, but to me its seems that you are handling it in the best way.

I wish you the best. x

That must be hard Donnie but great idea posting about it. A Sunday evening workout sounds like a good way to set you up for the start of the week too🙂

Thank you all I ended up splitting some wood with an axe for about an hour while jamming out to music , something soothing about that. I take lots of pictures of my daughter , could never have enough and i'm glad to have you all here with me tonight on my side. It's something that i've really been lacking , I hope you all had a great night and a great start to the new week!!! Much love

Like I always say - something, somewhere needs to be in smaller pieces!
Sounds like great therapy to me!

Just reading "splitting wood for an hour" made my back hurt! That in itself is a hell of a workout!

Sundays have been my least favourite day of the week (Mondays come a close 2nd) since childhood. I think I found being at home with both my parents stressful as a child. As an adult my Sundays are filled with anxiety and trepidation for what the coming week will bring. I try to make Sundays as unlike a Sunday as possible lol so we don't have a roast dinner lunch as this is synonymous with my Sundays as a child...and for most people in the UK I suspect.
