I'm not sure what Chat you went through, but we don't ever do phone conversations here.
Are you in AA and are looking for an AA sponsor? If so, when you go to meetings, you can talk to people and ask if anyone is available to sponsor you.

Anna is right, usually when people speak of sponsors they are referring to AA or NA. You can find a local meeting by googling "AA Meetings in XXX" (XXX being your town, county, etc.). I am forever grateful for a guy named Michael C who was my first sponsor; he led me through the steps 8 years ago, and I haven't had a drink since.
