Hi.It's me

Hey guys. Round two for me. I drank daily.....min 1/5 of rum or the like for 40 years. Nov 2015 I was ultrasounded with fatty liver so I went to the doc for " lets kill it". After a round of xanax for a couple weeks all was good. 4 months later and - 40 lbs, no fattly liver.Sober as a jud.......a tennis player.
Nov 2016 went back to the states and had " a drink". You know the rest.
8-9 days ago back to the doc.5 day Xanax trip and B injections.
Quit again. Just a couple hours sleep here and there. Feel pretty good. Appetite back.
He wants me to get another ultrasound. I said gimme 4 weeks to get the diet on track.
Beet, carrot, pearled barley, spicy stuff. Little bread( and make it real bread) lotsa salads, darker the better, chick peas in everything.Coconut oil only for cooking.Watch the salt.Swipe your finger through your pee in the am. If its salty ? Back off !Dont do idiotic detoxes. Let thy food be thy medicine.
Amen

LOL - I was with you right up to that part! In any event, good luck to you! Sounds like a permanent diet change and long-term sobriety is the best bet for a long, healthy life. Keep on posting here for support!

Hi Blamminski , I hope you can quit the booze .
I am 5 months sober but my diet is utter garbage and that,s probably why I feel garbage most of the time ,tired ,breathless ,lethargic ,depressed .
I seem to have replaced boozing with crappy junk food so major changes required .

No groups around I live in the rainforest so I have a list of tools to build and I'm 90% into a 1200 sf pole barn right now. As long as I'm busy I'm fine.I think I'm 9 days in now but finally back to " normal" sleep patterns. 5 hours or so. My brain cranks too much to allow for any more

If you wanted to get into any kind of meetings most methods have online meetings nowadays so geographic isolation need not be the problem it used to be
