2017 holidays- good riddance

I have 88 days sober today and this was my first sober holiday season in decades. I hated it and today is especially hard for what reason I have no idea. I cant wait until its over and I hope I can one day enjoy this season again. Sorry for the rant.

Awesome! Bet you feel proud. Same feeling I’m hoping to have tomorrow morning. Few more hours to get by here in NYC

I didn't enjoy the last week in particular and I am looking forward to today being over as well.

I haven't just concentrated on not drinking - in fact in all honesty that became number two on my 'front and centre of brain' list of priorities. What I concentrated on as number one was my overall health and fitness.

The problem with Christmas and New Year is that places close or are open for reduced hours. So going to the gym, shopping for nice food, going out for a coffee etc etc can be restricted. Sometimes I just wanted to be busy and working on my health or mindfulness and being stuck at home was a trigger for me. You know - 'the devil makes work for idle hands'....

I too will be glad to say goodbye to this festive period.
