New Year’s Eve drinks - nice alternative

So our annual house party is looming

Done really well over the holiday season but I’m fed up with coke, juice, fizzy water and cups of tea

Any ideas - nothing too fancy that takes ages to make up and nothing that draws attention to fact I’m not drinking like a bright green juice with a umbrella in ! Can’t be bothered to explain to others why I don’t drink and been told few wont hurt 🤔

Not looking for a alcohol replacement - just a change, something bit different ..looked on supermarkets shelves but nothing jumps out and makes me go yum !

My "grown-up" non-alcoholic drink whilst we were away over Christmas was Elderflower Fizz...refreshing and sparkling. You'll be able to find loads of recipes online. Wishing you a sober new year 💜

There are grown-up sodas like Fentimans and GUS (grown up soda) that have more flavor and not as sweet. Also, I put my coke ot pelligrino or ginger ale in a fancy glass at holiday parties, it helps to reduce the feeling that I'm missing out.

I love Elderflower syrup! Could also use Rose syrup mixed with sparkling water to make a pretty pink drink.

Xx

Hmmm, one of my favourites is pink lemonade but that would draw attention!!

Tesco have loads of flavoured sparkling waters, worth a look. There is also normal cloudy lemonade, not just the pink one!!

Happy sober New Year!!

I struggle with this too as I don't really have a sweet tooth. I know it's another juice, but I like V8 done Virgin Mary style - Tabasco, Lea & Perrins, etc. - which I don't find triggering for some reason. umbrella optional

I like orange and vanilla seltzer or just vanilla seltzer (no sugar) with a bit of tart cherry juice or orange juice added. Slice of lime and a couple frozen berries makes it fun. It's not too sweet.

Ginger beer (a decent one - and it's not beer, that's just in the name) with extra ginger and lots of fresh mint leaves and lime juice.

My fave. SO refreshing.

I drink Earl Grey normally but have developed a liking for fruit tea and the sparkling water (Tesco) is also nice, I bought a few of them for Christmas and they are refreshing in a large glass with ice.
