but what is the idea of a Blog?

Is it just like an online diary? And can anyone read it? Do any of you folks have one? I thought it might be a good idea as I wanted to keep a diary but I'm about worried about privacy. Thanks. Gabe x

No, I don't have one. I keep a hand written journal for my own private thoughts.

Thanks Chloe. I've had a look at some of the blogs on here and it looks like you can write anything you like. I think you can make them private.

Yes, it's like an online diary. Go to Blogs in the upper left corner of the main page. Select "your blog" and then "blog control panel". Under options is "permissions and privacy". You can check the box that allows people on your contact list to view your blog. I'm assuming if that box is not checked, they will not be able to view your blog.

After you've made your choice, be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and check "save changes"

Journalling, or blogging, if you will, is a great idea.
Journalling in longhand unlocks stuff in my brain.

I blogged a lot the first two years I was sober. Not so much since. It helped me a lot, hope it helped a few others. Mine was public, meaning anyone could view it.
