So I didn't manage to get to sleep "early" last night, probably around 10pm... when my husband got up and left this morning he told me it wasn't snowing yet, so I went back to sleep and hit the snooze button oh... 3 or 4 times. Should have considered he was leaving at around 4am and my alarm is set for 530... oops 😅😅😅 So, needless to say it WAS snowing when I got up at 6... I was a little late this morning, but for once it WASN'T because I was hung over or still trying to sober up from a night of heavy drinking. Small victories, right?

Congrats of your day 5! Go to as many AA meetings as possible and read AA The Big Book .

Thank you! Yes I am planning on an AA meeting after work.

Side note: I don't (yet: if I keep going, they ARE coming) suffer from a lot of withdrawal symptoms when I stop; massive anxiety and exhaustion and those horrible, disgusting night sweats... but last night I think they were just about gone. For once I didn't wake up with the sheets and pillow soaked.
I hope I never do again! ☺

Thanks D. Heading out in about 30 minutes for AA and then I think I'll stop at the market on the way home for stocking stuffers and Christmas candy for the kids... I am looking forward to a sober Christmas, not my usual wondering when is it "late enough" in the morning to start cooking so I can start drinking... One where I can actually enjoy the holiday with my family 😀 instead of being too tipsy to care or flat passed out by 5pm.
