Back to day 5

I’m back to day 5 after a horrendous 3 week binge, just coming out of the withdrawal stage now and going into the shame guilt and depression stage but yet for some reason I no desire to drink, I didn’t want to go to the pub any day in the 3 weeks but had to when I got there I didn’t want to be there but didn’t want to go home either. Insanity of this disease, worst time of year to be starting again especially in Ireland, Xmas is all about drink here, I’ve ruined the last few and I’ve a chance now of salvaging this one, I’ve 6 aa meetings done in the last 5 days, wish me luck lads I’m going to need it

Sounds like you've been winging it a little PS?
Maybe you need a plan?

https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums...very-plan.html (What exactly is a recovery plan?)

I really believe that we can get sober any time of the year - and long as we're willing to embrace change

This is my first Christmas sober too playstation. Find your silver linings... and make sure you have plans of what you are going to do for any time that isn't structured by work/school/whatever.

I am going to be able to wake up sober on Christmas morning and enjoy coffee with seasonal creamer in it. I am going to be able to enjoy what I get for Christmas and wash clothing/assemble things if I want to. I will have the energy to catch up on some cleaning. I am purging a lot since I am embarking upon a new life. Maybe you have some of that to do too. And that can include decluttering the mind. I have a lot of stinkin' thinkin' that has to be written over with better thought patterns - of course that will always be a work in progress. And read here, stay close to here. I plan to spend a lot of time on SR on the days I'm off for the holidays. It's helped me to post, to reach out and to accept others support. I have a bunch of movies in my Netflix queue and books downloaded on my Kindle. I have no plans to go out but many plans to be entertained and to enjoy the holiday.. and to also remember it. I don't remember last year - but I know I was drunk.

Best of wishes to you - you got this - you just got to figure out your own way of going about it!

Good luck to you PlayStation4! You still have time to get solidly sober before Christmas gets here.😀
