Another Day

I gotta say.... temptation was immense this morning
I waited it out, and after a short time I’ll be okay
New thing, this not giving in
Hard to believe, but I did not
I’ve never had this happen before

Good job. That is how it works. You don't get sober because temptation disappears, you get sober by not succumbing to it.

Nice job! It is a wonderful thing to learn the temptations fall apart quicker when we don’t entertain them.

Nice one! Easy to say, but it does pass, the cravings. Just be prepared for them.

I'm so glad you made it past that - those intense cravings will ease up the longer you go. I never thought it could happen to me either - but we were ready.

After you get some sober time accumulated, the cravings won't come as often or as intense. It gets better.

AA works if you let it. I also see a psychiatrist and it helps .
