well I didn't give up...

Day 2 feeling pretty rough. Thank you for your kind words the other night...of course I was drunk..I'm going to aa today...I am slowly killing myself and I need to get off this crazy train before it crashes

About 40 hours and really hitting meetings
Just determined this time, and actually have hope

Yes, good for you for taking action on going to an AA meeting, you can't go wrong there.

The first couple days are the worst!
Then the challenge becomes.... different.
You start to feel good again and then that creeping thought "what if..... I wasn't making too big a deal about this whole drinking thing, maybe..... I could have just a couple....."
Keep the detox/withdrawals or any of those early memories in the forefront of your head. This damned disease is cunning baffling powerful!!!!
