Watching football with no beer
My anxiety came back today. Or hurt or whatever. That knot in my chest and throat. I tried to imagine how to make it go away. Drinking didn’t even seem like it would help. I can’t anyway. Still on Antabuse. I thought about painkillers. Whatever. I decided to go home and rest for a bit. Anyway. I’m still having feelings but I did watch some football with no beer! There’s that!
Football without beer was a biggie for me. Although I drank every day, Sunday during football season was pretty much license to drink a LOT of beer all day long, and even into the night with the late Sunday game.
It is a heck of a lot better now though that I can make it through the Sunday night game and actually pay attention during the rest of the day. I even went to a Packer game last year - and Lambeau Field on a sunday is probably one of the biggest drunk-fests on the planet. But surprisingly there were a lot of people NOT drinking too, I would have never noticed back when I was drinking.
