Wow. My first good day

I felt like I had all these moments yesterday telling me about my future self if I didn’t quit. It was like the universe was shouting at me. Politely. Today I listened to these ted talks about how happiness is inside. How I can choose to look at things as bad or I choose to see opportunities. All the people and things i make responsible for my happiness aren’t. I felt good today. I even saw someone drinking a beer and didn’t feel the desire. Dear God, I want to start a sober softball team. Thank you guys.

Yes!!!

I'm so happy to hear this!

The older I get the more I realize that all cliches are true and one of the truest is that attitude and outlook are everything.

Keep posting. We are watching!

I want to play sober softball!!
Feels amazing when life starts to fall into place and you realise that happiness is an inside job. Drunk me never even had time to consider being positive. Now I look for and good the positive in everything.
So freeing.

Press, that's awesome! The sober softball thing made me giggle.

Some days are just "wow" good and I try to keep a mental "image" of why they were that I can always mull over as a reminder of how good things are now.

Keep going!

SO glad you've had a good day! For me, the good days became more frequent, the bad days less so. Six months in, nearly every day is a good day, and the bad days are still better than most days when I was drinking/using.

If you stick to sobriety, you will find many more good days.
