Hi Medbah. Let's quit together. Let's join all the other sober folks here. Have you considered a group like AA or Smart Recovery?

Welcome,
You will find a lot of support here.
Step 1 is accepting you are an alcoholic and powerless over alcohol.

There is a great thread, Class of November 2017 for people who are getting sober in November. It's full of support with the exact phase you are at!

best of luck

Alcoholism is likely increasing your anxiety and nervousness. Are you ready to stop drinking?

Hi Medbah -

I thought that alcohol made me less nervous when I was drinking, but actually it made it worse. Turns out, the days that I wasn't drinking I was simply in withdrawl and it aggravated my nerves. The fact that I felt less nervous when I drank was just smoke and mirrors trickery.

Once I stopped drinking completely, much of my nervousness went away & I learned how to manage it effectively for the first time.

Good luck & I hope you quit. My life got so much better & I wish the same for you.
