Its amazing just how much better I feel after being sober for just seven days. Waking up fresh and happy to be alive. My skin and eyes look 5 years younger too. I've been sober for much longer periods in the past....but this is the first time I've stopped with no plans to ever go back to drinking...previously I thought I could go back to responsible drinking....but I'm old enough and ugly enough to stop trying to fool myself. It feels like a weight off my shoulders. I'm not out of the woods of course. It helps being able to check in here with you good people. Thank you.
