Day 2
I’m so happy to have found this site. I have been looking here for a few months. I keep trying to tell myself after I quit for a few days that I can have better self control this time. It never works. Last night reading about all the things people don’t miss about when they were drinking really struck home. Thank you
Thank YOU and welcome to the site, I'm glad you found us, you'll find a lot of support here. And congratulations on two days sober.
I did the same thing as you, Thought after a few days, or recovered from the last binge, that I could control it this time.
I was so wrong. I had no control. Alcohol controlled me. I stayed in this cycle for many years. I hope you don't, and don't go through the horrible things I did.
It is possible to quit drinking no matter how low we've sunk. and I sank pretty darn low. Save yourself some misery and make this quit stick.
And stick around here. we're all here for you.

Hi 24violets - congratulations on your almost Day 4.
I did the same thing - thought I could use willpower to control my drinking. I went on like that for many years, each binge worse than the last. I was in sad shape before coming here - and never really imagined I could change my life. The more time I spent here, the stronger I became. Knowing I was no longer alone meant everything. We're so glad you're here.
