Amends are scary
Amends are freeing.
Today I made an incredible, scary amends. It could have opened risk of personal reputation, risk to my marriage, my job, legal trouble.
But I reached out and did it regardless and...
I was given forgiveness.
It brings tears to my eyes and a weight off my heart.
Amends can be terrifying. The scarier, the more freeing.
Happy sober Saturday everyone.

Well done freeowl, I'm on the making amends journey myself so I can relate to it being scary. I've done a few now, and I find each time I do one I gain and grow. It's about clearing away the wreckage of our past. It's truly a humbling experience and I think we gain in some humility. It's a step that needs to be done.
