Day 6 of sobriety and having some trouble
Today is the 6th day of my sobriety. I started drinking about a year and a half ago. For the last year I have been drinking an average of 300ml up to 500ml of vodka a night. When I stopped I did have shaking, sweating and felt crappy the first two days.
After that I have felt better and better every day. Yesterday morning I started noticing that the whites of my eyes were looking yellow. I don't have any pain anywhere and the bloating in my stomach has gone down and is practically gone. Has anyone else experienced anything like this when they quit drinking? I know I need to go to the doctor but it will take a little while for me to accomplish this because I have no insurance and just started working again so it will be a while before I get my first paycheck and can go. Thank you!

They can not turn you away b/c of lack of insurance. I think you should go to the ER. When you get a bill you can call the hospital and arrange a payment plan. People do that all the time. It is best that you take care of your health. Congratulations on 6 days. That is HUGE! Keep it up!

Try urgent care for a liver test if you are concerned about cost of ER. You need to get this checked out.
Absolutely do not drink alcohol - it could kill you at this point. Drink water to let your body flush out toxins.
If you symptoms get worse, head to the ER ASAP.

Thanks everyone. Yes I am definitely done drinking at this point. I am three hours into day seven now and still going strong. I will go down now the ER tomorrow if eyes are still yellow. I appreciate all the advice and help. Thank you!
