Almost a full week

These past 6 days without alcohol have been surprisingly easy. What hasn't been easy was dealing with the mess I made out of some of my relationships and facing them head on. I managed to salvage my relationship with my boyfriend, promising never to drink again. It was a hard week trying to accept the blame while also learning to forgive myself.

It's easy (too easy) to say one will never drink again. I feel confident I can do it this time. Posting here is a reminder for me of where I started just in case I forget all the reasons why I can't drink.

The words of encouragement I've gotten on SR have helped me through the week. I would have gotten lost in negative thinking 😊

This is a good place for nuggets of wisdom.

Lots of great subforums if you look in the main index, too.

I remember saying, "I've gone a whole week without a drink!" Keep it going.

Great job Bell! Just stay with your plan or whatever you're doing. Today is my 13th day, and this forum and AA meetings really are the key tools that is keeping me going. Saying that, one day at a time, everyday for the rest of my life.
