Just Posting To Post
Just wanted to say that day 7 is good. Very stressful day at work but I know drinking tonight will not solve any problems.
This place has become my reminder I don't have to drink.
Again, completely random post here but... I'm looking forward to an alcohol free weekend!

Always a good plan.

Just commit to it 100% and you'll be fine. Even if you have ridiculously early nights or a snuggly movie night with snacks do whatever it takes to stay safe. It really does get easier and you'll absolutely fall in love with your sober weekends!
I landed a babysitting gig for a friend tonight. Unpaid, but her daughter and my son will have fun together and I have to remain sober for the night. That is my sober plan for the evening. I tend to fill the weekends with kids so I have no option to drink It works for me.
That's a good plan dreamcatcher. I found early on that making preventative plans worked well and not to trust myself (especially on Friday nights). I still avoid spur of the moment shopping on an evening and I volunteer to taxi my daughters around a lot more now too. If I actually go out on an evening (rarely I'm a home-bird) I always drive without fail.
It is said that you have to want to stay sober more than you want to drink (which I took a while to get to I'll be honest) but once we've embraced it the game does change.
Stay safe guys and let's enjoy a lovely sober Friday night!
