Constant sleeping
Constant sleeping
Well a game game out and i didn't feel like drinking and i went about 2-3 days without drinking. Now Im sleeping so much like I'd get up at 7am go to sleep at 4 then wake up at 11pm then sleep again and wake up at 4am then to 6am and repeat. So much sleeping that I cannot even be bothered drinking. Is this a medical issue? Usually when I don't drink I can't sleep. Its not like im sleepy but my brain feels fatigued like when you had a long day at work.

When I got sober, I slept a LOT. Sometimes, I had the immediate (and I do mean immediate) need to nap. I occasionally get that urge, and I am very attuned to my sleep- I do have occasional insomnia and take sleeping pills nightly (prescribed).
Sounds like seeing a doctor- and also committing to sobriety- is important now.

Almost 3 weeks in and I can relate to an extent. I'm tired all the time, and so unmotivated and "blah" feeling, all I want to do is sleep to pass the time. It's our bodies and minds recovering from constant abuse.
Keep pushing through as I'd rather feel tired and lethargic this way then hungover.

Naps were magical for me early on. I still can get tired from stressful days that would have drank after. Our body has some longterm memory of habits. Even at 6 months I'm still working through some old habits. Makes you tired, but still on the straight and sober!
