Hi Everybody
Hi Everybody
I went 45 years without drinking except maybe a glass of wine at a party once or twice a year. Five years ago I started slowly drinking single malt whiskey at parties and occasionally with my husband on weekends. I found out I loved the taste and mood elevation.
Slowly over the course of a five-year period I began drinking every day, wine on weekdays and scotch on the weekends I never got hangovers or blackouts and was pretty functional at work.
We had a pretty nasty hurricane where I live and I drank scotch every single day the power was out, and kept on going when the power went back on again.
Finally, last week, I had my first big hangover. I was sick all night and most of the next day. Quite an eyeopener .Quit the next day and haven’t drank since then. I'm here for the support to stay quit

Shows you how quickly things can escalate with alcohol. The 45 years of being a normie can be a powerful tool for denial: "hey I've never been a drinker so I can keep this under control no problem"
Guess not.
Guess not.
