to me, it's critically important to have role models, examples, images of SOBRIETY that reinforce the goodness, that show clearly there's nothing "wrong" with sobriety.... that in fact it's AWESOME.
it's not shameful.
you're not uncool.
your life won't be over.
SOBRIETY is something to aspire to and be proud of.
Having guys like Tom in my mind and awareness is an important part of how I keep my own focus on sobriety intact.
