150 days free
Hit 150 days :-) ..I'm not really counting to be honest anymore but feels like a little landmark somehow
It's been a tough ride to be honest,I think the first 2-3 months were actually easier as dealing with the physical aspects and also the benefits reaped in that time in terms of health etc made it all worthwhile
Last 50 days were tough,mentally I crumbled and was very close to giving up sobriety
What I did to get through ? I reached out on here for help and it came ..not everything I wanted to hear but all true
I then reached out to my doctor ..this was a HUGE step for me ..I'm a typical bloke and avoid at all costs doctors and talking about my feelings one to one especially
But it worked ! I'm a lot more settled now ..still one day at a time and I'm on guard but I'm not going back after all this hard work , I won't be beaten down and i am never going to drink again ..no matter what ..Life is getting better slowly but surely
Never stop believing you can beat this,I had numerous fails like everyone
If you need help ASK! Don't be like me and think you can battle this alone , it's tough seriously
Anyway,day 151 looms and I'm looking forward to it
