Weight loss and pain normal when quiting?

6 years drinking fairly heavy until last 12 months everyday fro 3 to 10 normal strength beers, closer to the 10 more than 3 most noght. Over last 4 weeks i managed about 9 days sober after some nasty withdrawl. I then stupidly drank again for about 5 days and back off a couple of days drinking 1 beer if i start having withdrawl. My question is i have lost almost a stone from 14 to 13 in last 2 weeks ish without doing anything other than stopping drinking not been eating well but also have had abdomin and flank pains, currently have diarrhoea i have doctors booked on monday but would it be advisable to go sooner?

Weight loss is normal...as far as your physical concerns then it's doctor time, doesn't mean your dying or anything but none of us here can diagnose you, if you feel really ill then no harm in getting to a hospital.

True, think symptoms vary with everyone will see if its any worse as the evening goes then get looked at if its any worse

Personally if it was me I'd get to a hospital JUST to be safe. Monday is too far away.

You should see a doctor. Always good to be safe.

Hi and welcome Neelll

There's a wide range of normal. I didn't lose any weight for example.

If it's concerning you it wouldn't hurt to see someone before Monday.

I'm glad you've joined us
