Totally Failed...
Hi all... I managed 11 days without alcohol and now I've done a week drinking. Why is this so hard. I was so positive about giving up for many reasons. All of which just flew out the window. I have half a. Title of wine left in the fridge from last night. Will I drink that again tonight or throw it away.. 🙁
It's hard because not drinking takes effort and a commitment - in that respect it's harder than just opening a brew or a box of wine.
You did 11 days - you've shown you can be sober...now you have to work out how to make that permanent.
This is a good starting place:

and - noone here is going to vote you drink the wine
Make the right choice - Toss it out!

What happened on day 11 that made you decide to start drinking again? Try to figure out what supports you need to put in place the next time you are in the situation. Although right now you are probably thinking keeping the wine is a good idea, it's not. Get rid of it, and start a new day one tomorrow.
It's not a failure, it's a stumble...a relapse.
Dump the poison and get back to it.
11 days is really good...you can do it and then some.
I felt hopeless, unable to get traction for months. (Years really, but this spring I'd get a month and then go back to drinking)
I physically cannot do it anymore. I'm creeping up on 2 months and I feel really good, feelings and all. Life is Life, but at least I'm living not existing. It's brutal...and hard work but it's so worth it.
Dump it out and start living again, please.

Fixed the title of your post.
Nobody posting on this forum is failing. The failures go away and are never heard from again. If you're here you are either succeeding, learning, or both.
You learned it was hard. You learned that it takes one drink to end up drunk for a week. You learned you weren't doing everything you need to do to maintain your sobriety.
What will you learn by having wine in the refrigerator?
Best of Luck on Your Journey!

I struggled with getting past the day 10-11 point too.
Would think I was doing well, then bam the AV would trip me up!
The major difference this time around is the importance of a recovery plan, I used to think how can that make a difference, but it does, willpower will only get you so far, you need to change the mindset and lifestyle choices that led to you drinking, some things you can't change immediately but other small things you can. Someone on SR told me not drinking is only the start of it and I never really understood that but I'm beginning to now.
Put the drink down the sink, you deserve BETTER and you haven't failed!

11 days is enough to know what it feels like not to drink for awhile. Long term sobriety is a whole different level of feeling great, or more accurately....feeling free. You can achieve your goals if you work hard enough towards them. Guaranteed.
You have just learned another way to not approach recovery.
Use that to build a plan for your next day 10-11, if you don't do anything different then nothing will change.
You can do this, but it will take action, go for it!
All the best.

I should add; FAIL is a pretty strong word. I wouldn't say you failed, I'd say you made an error in your recovery and hopefully you can learn something from it to strengthen your resolve.
