Angry How many chances..

Will my body give me. Day 1 after blacking out last night, after two weeks of holding off the beers. I have had this cycle (minus a 6 month break last year, and a few months here and there before that) since I was about 20. I had so much guard all week, and caved. I am working with an addiction counselor and going to AA this week again. I am terrified to get sick or die at 26.

I HAVE to do this. I want to stay sober more than anything, this binge drinking is killing me.

Blacking out is so scary. Glad you are going back to AA. I have a meeting tonight and so far have 6 days with AA.

Blacking out is very scary, indeed. I'm glad you are here working on your sobriety again. It's good that you are speaking with a therapist, and I hope you continue to read and post here.

Thanks everyone. Just trying to get through today! Anxiety is high, palms are sweaty and all the pleasantries that come with this.

I hope you feel better soon Ekohe

and yeah change is imperative if we want change - choosing to do the same old things again doesn't make a lot of sense.

Choose something different now than drinking

let us know how you get on at AA and with your counsellor
