cant say ive ever seen it, but get a little saddened when i read anything using the 1st step of aa - admiited we were powerless over alcohol- that our life had become unmanagable.
like i read in that link:
You Are Not Powerless
im taking a guess that is referring to the 1st step, and not a whole lot of knowledge of what the 1st step really means, which
WERE powerless is missed quite a lot.

Yes, who knows what works for some and not for others, willing to try anything, you never know one of them might be the one

Thank you, I will take a look, I am not trying loads of methods just doing lots of reading different opinions, my main method at the minute is just to get through each day, I wont start anything until my mind is ready to take whatever method in,

I am reading the Naked Mind and its incredibly helpful and informative to be able to get into the whole chemistry of addiction, how the brain is working while addicted, and how we can begin to detach from value judgments about ourselves (Such as: I am a weak willed person because I cant stop drinking. Or... I am self destructive, selfish, flawed, or BAD) and from that place see addiction, and why we cycle like a broken record through it.... a bit more clearly.

Its pretty powerful to shine a light on the hows and whys...
