i hope its better for ya,too, mummy!
i really wish i could say that things straighten out and every day is pretty good real quick. unfortunatly, that isnt how it works.
well, i will say i have seen it. however, what ive seen quite a few times is people getting on a pink cloud and everything is sunshine,daisies, and unicorns.
then a bill comes in the mail. or a shoe string breaks. or a child get in trouble at school.
the majority of those people usually end up drinking. because there was a misconception that stopping drinking was a cure all.

i had many,many rough days early on. many,many days that when i laid down at night the ONLY thing good i could see was that i didnt drink, which you didnt, so good on ya!
slowly but surely, things started getting better. when i was going to AA, id stay after and hang out outside with some of the others. theyd be crackin jokes and laughin and id be standing there thinkin,"that was a real funny joke, but im not laughin. i wanna laugh!"
and eventually i was able to laugh with them.

have faith in the program that it WILL get better. its just gonna take T.I.M.E.

Thanks, I know its not all rosy, it will get hard at times, but that's life, hopefully one day I will look back and be grateful for the hard days as I will be stronger and happier

My early days were tough, but exactly what you said above ^^^^^^ that happened! I am grateful to be where I am today because of what came before
