Hi everyone,

I have been dealing with my alcohol problem for the past 5 years and was doing pretty well, for a while. I went back out and have had a series of binges over the past several months. I stopped again 2 days ago, and on that day, woke up to what I was sure was appendicitis. Turns out it wasn't. All my tests came back healthy; no kidney stones, gall bladder, pancreas, etc. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this VERY strong pain reaction, and if so, what did you do? How long did it last? I'm glad this forum is here so that I can at least get this out there and not feel quite so isolated.

It sounds like you've talked to your dr and been tested, and he didn't find anything? If so and you're having very strong pain, I might think of trying another dr, or being re-tested with your present dr. I hope you feel better.

*This is not medical advice*; Yes. I experienced both of those after a binge. It sucks,however it's a wake up call to what you're doing to yourself.

Edit..As far as how I dealt with it...I just did. Drinking more will only prolong it. Time..About 2-3 days for me. Bloating went down after about a week,for me..

Hang in there and know you NEVER have to feel this way again,if you stop drinking.
